The Federal Government appears ready to massively recruit civil servants following the opening the opening of its portal for recruitment and an endorsement by the presidency.
Presidential spokesperson, Mr Bayo Onanuga, on Monday endorsed the recruitment exercise when he cited
a notice by Taiwo Hassan, Head of Press and Public Relations at the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC).
The notice had first apeared last week but an unverified disclaimer followed which discouraged many.
But the latest notice, endorsed by the Presidency reads: “The Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) is receiving applications for various vacancies in the Federal Civil Service,” the notice reads.
The vacancy announcement was first published on the Commission’s website and in the Sun, Daily Trust and The Nation newspaper of Monday 27th January 2025.
“Eligible applicants are to apply for only one position via the application link: https://recruitment.fedcivilservice.gov.ng. Applicants who are physically challenged should state the nature of their disability,” the notice added.
Applicants were advised to upload the following documents as applicable:
• Curriculum Vitae
• Ph.D/Master’s Degree Certificate
• Degree/HND/NCE Certificate
• WAEC/NECO/NABTEB Certificate
• Primary School Certificate
• NYSC discharge/exemption/exclusion certificate
• Birth Certificate/Declaration of Age
• Local Government Identification
• Recent Passport photograph
The applications, the notice added, are to be submitted on or before Monday, 10th March, 2025.
