What is the difference between a sea surfer and a mere swimmer? *Sea surfers are propelled by the same waves that scare ordinary swimmers*. In Christ we are being built to be surfers, not mere swimmers.
In John 6, many were following Jesus and enjoying His blessings. *When things got tough, many begun to turn away.* Jesus turned to the disciples and asked, “will you also go away?” (John 6:66-67)
*Life in these end times is full of stormy waves.* The natural tendency is to compromise or turn back from following God’s ways. “Because iniquity will abound, the love of many will grow cold” (Matthew 24:12)
*Amidst the waves and storms, the Lord Jesus bids us to remain true to Him*, to His word, kingdom values and His commission. He desires us to be surfers, riding storms, not mere swimmers dreading waves.
Are you turning away from the Lord and His call because of storms? *You dare not, for there is no life or succor anywhere else.*
