The presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People Party,(NNPP), Musa Rabiu Kwankwaso, was pelted with objects, including water in sachet bags by unidentified persons as he visited Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.
He was in Lokoja to commission the NNPP’s secretariat and his campaign offices along Kogi Government House road.
The NNPP presidential candidate arrived in a motorcade of supporters, but was shouted down by other supporters, who appeared angry they were kept waiting for hours.
On getting to the hotel where he was to address supporters, hoodlums in their numbers invaded the venue throwing objects.
Security men brought the situation under control.
Kwankwaso had earlier visited Ogbonicha, the country home of late Prince Abubakar Audu, where he allegedly faced a similar embarrassing situation.
A media aide of the Presidential Candidate who identified himself as Musa Yunusa, described the action of the supporters as normal in politics, described Kogi as home to the presidential candidate.
