The ANSWER to every complex question is often simple and wrong. This is one of such. However, there are perspectives and  insights that help.

*There is God’s nature to contend with here.* Our God is not only a God of MERCY but of JUSTICE. *In His MERCY* He causes rain to fall both on the wicked and the just (Matt.5:45).

And *in His JUSTICE*, He brings the wicked to account, making their seeming prosperity transient, a mere illusion.
*“Truly, you put them on a slippery path and send them sliding over the cliff to destruction…”*
(Psa. 73:18-19, NLT.)

The Bible urges us never to envy the wicked. “…For soon they fade away like grass and disappear. *Trust in the Lord instead. Be kind and good to others…”*
(Proverbs 37:1-4, TLB)

We live in a fallen, upside-down world, this creates a conducive environment for wickedness to thrive, not because God wants it, but because men gain from it.
