This week, Nyesom Wike stood before the cameras in Abuja and told 200 million Nigerians that Bola Tinubu is “the only person we have now.” Read that again. In a nation of 200 million souls — engineers, doctors, scholars, soldiers, patriots — the FCT Minister declares that only one man possesses the courage to lead. This is not analysis. This is the language of capture.
When the Catholic Bishops came to the Villa to speak plainly about hunger and insecurity, they were not thanked. They were rebuked. Cardinal Onaiyekan, a man of God who has served this nation longer than this administration has existed, was accused of partisanship for telling the truth. When shepherds are silenced for describing the suffering of their flock, you know the hijack is complete.

Nigeria has been seized by men without vision, without shame, and without any concept of service. They mistake the treasury for an inheritance and the people for an inconvenience. They defend each other in monthly briefings while pensioners queue, while the naira bleeds, while our children flee through every airport with no intention of returning.
But I smell something in the wind. An upheaval is coming — not of violence, but of awakening. The Nigerian people are patient, but patience is not amnesia. All that is missing is leadership: one charismatic leader of genuine integrity, unbought and unbowed, who can gather this rage into a movement and this movement into a nation reborn. History teaches us that such leaders appear precisely when the old order believes itself untouchable.
To the bush men holding our republic hostage: your time is borrowed. To the leader waiting in the wings: Nigeria is calling. Answer.
