Chikun in Kaduna: Two painful deaths in a weekend, two children still seized

Must read

That’s the way hatred and wickedness go…The body of the wife of a medical doctor, Philip Ataga, abducted by kidnappers nearly a week ago has been found.

A viral post on Late Mrs Ataga

Her recovered body had gunshot wounds, after Police picked it up in Kakau village on the Kaduna – Abuja highway, following a call from the abductors.
Her two children are still with the abductors, who are demanding N20 million to release them.
Sadly, too, one of the four seminarians, Nnadi Michael, abducted in Kaduna also, has been found dead. There are no details in his case but a post from an official of the Catholic Church has gone viral on social media.
Late Mrs. Ataga, her son and daughter were kidnapped from their home in the quiet Juji village in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State by a marauding group killed a member of the Vigilance Group there.
On the seminarian,  the Registrar of the Good Shepherd Major Seminary, Kaduna, Rev. Fr. Dr. Joel Usman wrote:
“ON A SAD NOTE!!!
This is to inform all our friends and well wishers that the remaining abducted Seminarian has been found dead. Thank you very much for your prayerful support.
Late Nnadi Michael

“Let us keep praying for Nigeria in Great Distress. Please let us remain faithful in the Risen Lord. May the soul of our Brother Nnadi Michael and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace with the Lord. Amen.”
Recall that four of the seminarians were abducted three weeks ago when gun-rotting men invaded the school for training priests. Three of the students were freed last Friday, but Michael was found dead the next day.
