Whether by payment of ransom or Police work, the details remain unclear; but the good news is that Justice Chioma Iheme Nwosu has regained her freedom from the hands unknown gunmen who abducted her on October 29.
Many ascribe the news of her release to a message posted to associates by the Chairman of Owerri branch, D.O Nosike, on Wednesday. He wrote in the trending message: “Good evening Learned Silks, distinguished seniors and colleagues. It’s with a joyful heart and praises to God Almighty, that I announce to us all that my Lord, Hon. Justice Chioma Nwosu-Iheme has been released. I thank God Almighty, and all of us, for our steadfastness, support, and prayers. I wish to thank the State Government especially, for her immeasurable assistance. Good night all and God bless.”
The Edo Commissioner of Police, Danmallam Mohammed also confirmed that the judge was rescued from kidnappers and has been reunited with her family.
