Breaking….Boko Haram: Lockdown on Maiduguri-Damaturu-Potiskim road.
There appears to be a lockdown Maiduguri-Damaturu-Potiskim road, where it is believed the security forces are in face-off with insurgents who attacked Ngamdu town.
A similar attack on Auno, about 24 kilometres to Maiduguri is said to have been contained by ground troops with air support.
A source in Maiduguri could not confirm if the lockdown was an official, but said a stop and search might have been initiated because insurgents are mingling with the civilian population, who are either playing along with the Boko Haram group or are simply too scared of the group to squeal on the strange characters in their midst.
The security forces, however, have a way of sifting through them, the source added.
