Happy Anniversary Nigeria!
To you Nigerian or associate of Nigeria, because you have at least one person in Nigeria: me:
Yesterday at church, I saw a drama that very creatively summarised the challenge: Nigeria. It brought tears to my eyes and yet hope to me. Later, I read a piece that simply catalogued some of the great brains God has blessed Nigeria with and serving humanity in other lands, vis-a-vis our gapping need back home for innovative and exportable solutions to our and global needs and challenges.
You may relate with that differently, but one effect on me is just imagining the great blessing the Nigerian church will be with a different Nigeria. For one, mission stories from Nigeria would souuuund different!
Even as things are, she’s still:
*The wealthiest church among the countries of the 10/40 window, a region of the world with the highest concentration of the world’s poorest and most Unreached (with the gospel) people groups;
*the country in the region with the largest church population.
Join me today to imagine. Join me to pray!
Meanwhile let this song, Great Nation by Timi Dakolo, inspire and encourage you.
Happy Independence!
