The sitting five justices of the nation’s highest court,has upheld the election of Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as Governorof Osun State.
In the judgment read by Justice Emmanuel Agim, the apex court agreed with the judgment of the subordinate Appeal Court’s which upheld the election of Adeleke as the state governor.
The justices were of the opinion that the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, appellant and immediate past Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, did not provide sufficient evidence that there was over-voting in the governorship election which held 10 months ago.
