Federal government employees on Grade level 12 and below who have worked from home for more than a year are to return to their offices from next Wednesday 1st December, 2021, Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Folashade Yemi-Esan has announced in a circular.
However, there is pre-condition for them and other federal employees to return to their desks: they must show evidence of vaccination under the vaccine mandate policy of the Presidential Steering Committee on Covid-19, approved by President Muhammadu Buhari.
In the alternative, the employees would need to show a PCR test done within 72 hours to report for duty.
The circular listed two Federal Staff Clinics in Abuja as well as the clinics of the Federal Ministries of Works and Housing; Agriculture and Rural Development; and Finance where unvaccimated employees can go to get their jabs.
Other vaccination centers, according to the circular, are listed on the National Primary Health Care Development Agency website www.nphcda.gov.ng/vaccinationsites.
