Social distance in Jerusalem

Must read

By Elsie Dennis
I have never been to Jerusalem. I don’t know how many cases of Covid-19 they have there. I don’t know if they are observing social distancing but I’m sure they are, as is the rest of the World and it reminds me of the greatest social distance that ever occurred.
It happened one weekend in Jerusalem, more than 2000 years ago. One man became alienated from all of humanity; he was not just physically distant, he was socially, mentally, emotionally and spiritually distant.
He was not just distancing from the virus, he was in fact the virus. He was avoided like the plague we are avoiding today. He was despised and hated, spat on and called names.
Then He died. Shamefully, outside of the city gates, socially distant from everyone, including God Himself.
‘Eloi Eloi, Lama Sabachtani!”
There were not many at his funeral, just like now, there was social distancing!
But the story didn’t end there. Hallelujah ?
He rose from the grave 3 days later and humanity has never been the same again.
But why did He go to that length when he was “supposedly” the Son of God?
He did it for you and for me. He did it so we may never have to suffer the ultimate social distance that will last forever and for ever.
If you would like to know how to avoid the worst social distancing that will ever happen to mankind please send me a private message.
