A revelation that leads to redemption or rejection

Must read

*A REVELATION THAT LEADS TO REDEMPTION OR REJECTION*

“… He [Jesus] asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?”
(Matt. 16:13, NLT)

When Jesus posed that question, *people answered based on their perception or expectations of Him*. They were sincere but wrong.

Our relationship with people is usually based on our perception or expectations of them. It is no different with Jesus Christ. *To have a right relationship with Him, we must each have a correct knowledge of who He is.* And that comes by divine revelation, not just our education.

*”… Who do you say I am?” Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”* Jesus replied, “… my Father in heaven has revealed this to you. You did not learn this from any human being”
(Matt. 16:16,17, NLT)

*A right revelation of Jesus Christ leads to our redemption and life eternal. A wrong perception of Him, however, leads to our eternal rejection and peril.*
