Managing anger, a godly perspective

Must read

By Iyke David.
“A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.” (‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭29:11‬ ‭KJV‬‬).
When you are angry, don’t respond immediately. Delay is a great tool in controlling anger (Ecclesiastes 5:2); not indefinitely or the whole day but maybe for a little while (James 1:19). That little while is for the Spirit of God to teach you more about the situation and to enable you have the necessary control to bring a wise closure to the matter (Romans 14:16-19). Remember it’s with what you say that you’ll be judged (Matthew 15:11, Mark 7:15), you cannot speak in a haste or in anger because the devil rules and operates in angry situations, bringing death and destruction as he roams around (1 Peter 5:8).
When we take our time and calm frayed nerves, God in His infinite mercy and wisdom, will give us the wisdom to address the situation with love and peace.
Men and brethren, let’s resist the devil by not being hasty to speak in contentious situations (Ephesians 4:29, 1 Peter 3:10). In fact, if possible, pray at the time asking God to calm the situation down so that it can be resolved with love (Zechariah 10:11).

I pray this morning that every contentious situation on our paths be calmed now by the resurrection power of the Lord; may every person fueling such evil contentious situations collide with the Rock of Ages so that the people of God will surely dwell in peace and harmony through Christ Jesus, Amen.

Good morning and have a very good day.
