Nwofor was also instrumental in the early development of the Anambra State University of Science and Technology, which later evolved into Nnamdi Azikiwe University.<\/p>\n<p>In the early days of the institution, he reportedly donated buildings that served as the first classrooms, offices, and residential facilities, enabling the university to begin operations and grow.<\/p>\n<p>In his remarks, the head of the family, Barrister Chuma Nwofor, expressed appreciation to all who attended the burial ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>He urged family members and associates to uphold the late patriarch\u2019s legacy by promoting peace, unity, and dedication to the ideals he cherished.<\/p>\n<p>Chuma Nwofor noted that following the values and guidance of their late father would help the family consolidate and expand on the achievements he left behind.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Chuks Collins, Awka March 5, 2026 Tributes poured in from across Nigeria and beyond as the late Ozo MNC Nwofor, widely regarded as a founding pillar of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, was laid to rest in Anambra State.
