In a heartfelt Instagram post, Latifa revealed that her husband suffered a seizure followed by pneumonia, ultimately leading to his death. She expressed gratitude to their family, friends, fellow artists, and medical staff: \u201cI am thankful for his family, friends, fellow artists and coworkers who have shared his journey with him.\u201d She also addressed his global fan base, saying, \u201cYour support was his strength throughout his whole career. He really appreciated each and every fan for their love.\u201d<\/p>\n
Cliff, a two-time Grammy Award winner, was a towering figure in reggae, ska, and soul. His career spanned more than six decades. He first made an impact in Jamaica as a teenager, releasing his first hit, \u201cHurricane Hattie,\u201d in his early years.<\/p>\n
He starred in the landmark 1972 film The Harder They Come, a crime drama that played a pivotal role in bringing reggae to a global audience.
