Patrick is the younger brother to Prof. Tom Adaba who died 16 days ago at the age of 83.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_93231\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-93231\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-93231\" src=\"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/dr-1-300x280.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"280\" srcset=\"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/dr-1-300x280.jpg 300w, https:\/\/everyday.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/dr-1.jpg 369w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-93231\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Late Prof. Tom Adaba, first Director-General of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">Patrick died on Monday at the age of 79.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">The Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Femi Fanwo, in a statement, expressed profound sorrow over Adaba\u2019 death.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">He said that the former deputy governor exemplified exceptional leadership, service, and a steadfast dedication to the advancement of both Kogi State and Nigeria.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">The late Adaba served as Deputy Governor under the late Governor Abubakar Audu between 1992 and 1994.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">Wrote Fanwo: \u201cHis contributions to governance, his statesmanship, and his role in shaping the early foundation of Kogi State will never be forgotten.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">\u201cHis passing is not only a loss to his family, the Ebira nation and his political associates, but also to the entire state and the nation at large.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">\u201cWe will forever remember his selfless service, his passion for the people, and the legacy he leaves behind.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">\u201cOn behalf of the Government and the good people of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Chief Servant of Kogi State, extends his deepest condolences to the Adaba family, the people of Kogi State, and all who were touched by Chief Adaba\u2019s life and leadership.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">\u201cHe fuelled his dream of a great Kogi State with an unblemished patriotism and great service to our dear state in and out of office as we continued to consult him to tap from his wealth of experience.
