{"id":9284,"date":"2018-05-26T22:15:07","date_gmt":"2018-05-26T22:15:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=9284"},"modified":"2018-05-26T22:15:07","modified_gmt":"2018-05-26T22:15:07","slug":"nine-escape-death-in-ilorin-ghastly-auto-crash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=9284","title":{"rendered":"Nine Escape Death In Ilorin Ghastly Auto Crash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From <strong>Adedeji Joseph<\/strong>, Ilorin.<br \/>\nNine persons on Saturday escaped death in a ghastly auto crash involving two commercial vehicles which had a head-on collision in Ilorin, Kwara State.<br \/>\nThe accident occurred along Old Jebba Road in the state capital shortly after the bridge on Oyun River.<br \/>\nEye witnesses accounts said one person however died in the accident.<br \/>\nThe State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mr. Sunday Maku, who confirmed the accident said eight persons comprising four males and four females sustained injuries, arguing that no victim died. He explained that nine people were in the two vehicles when the accident occurred.<br \/>\nAccording to him, the vehicles involved a Mazda 323 with registration number FUF 845 XA and another Mazda 323 with registration number KEY 609 XA.<br \/>\nThe Sector Commander stated that the accident was caused by wrongful overtaking by one of the vehicles.<br \/>\nMaku had said; \u201cthe accident occurred at the Oyun end of the Old Ilorin-Jebba Road. It happened three kilometers from base.<br \/>\n&#8220;Two commercial vehicles: Mazda 323 with registration number KEY 609 XA and Mazda 323 with registration no FUF 845 XA were involved.<br \/>\n\u201cThere were nine people in the vehicles, five males and four females. Four males and four females were injured.<br \/>\n\u201cNobody was killed.
