{"id":92762,"date":"2025-01-19T21:08:05","date_gmt":"2025-01-19T21:08:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=92762"},"modified":"2025-01-19T21:08:05","modified_gmt":"2025-01-19T21:08:05","slug":"efetie-ace-radio-presenter-presentation-teacher-joins-wabma","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=92762","title":{"rendered":"Efetie, ace radio presenter, presentation teacher joins WABMA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">The West Africa Broadcast and Media Academy (WABMA) has brought on board its team ace broadcast teacher and former Radio Nigeria presenter, Mr. Riume Efetie as Assistant Registrar Business Development at the academy\u2019s Lagos training centre.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">A statement by WABMA&#8217;s Registrar, Mr. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">Joseph Obari, described <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\"> Efetie as &#8220;a sought-after broadcast presentation teacher, elocution consultant and author.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">\u201cOne more very experienced veteran has joined WABMA to consolidate our expansion drive and we are excited to welcome him. His decades of experience from his days as a presenter and a seasoned teacher arms him with the tools to deepen the academy\u2019s penetration in Lagos and the entire south west region,\u201d Dr Ken Ike Okere, Rector of WABMA said of Efetie\u2019s appointment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">Mr Efetie has since assumed duty at the WABMA Lagos centre.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">\u201cWe are now in the thick of preparations for the start of our quarterly certificate courses. For me, this new role opens the door to new challenges; a new chapter in my quest to give back to a profession that shaped who I am today. I am delighted to be part of such a talented team at WABMA\u201d Efetie said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">Obari says Riume Efetie was an authoritative voice on Radio Nigeria where he worked for decades as a presenter until his deployment to the National Broadcast Academy (NBA), Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN)\u2019s training institute as a lecturer. He retired in 2018 as the Head of Presentation Department at the NBA.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">He holds an honours bachelor\u2019s degree in English Language and sundry other professional certificates. Mr. Efetie is an author of two publications on presentation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">WABMA offers short and long certificate courses for media professionals at Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced levels.
