It was another day of mourning for Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State after he lost his 24-year-old son, Abdulwahab Umar Namadi,\u00a0 24 hours after he lost his mother, Maryam Namadi.<\/span><\/p>\n

He announced the passing of his mother, Maryam Namadi on Wednesday in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Hamisu Gumel, on Wednesday in Dutse.<\/span><\/p>\n

Maryam died in the early hours of Wednesday, December 25, and was buried according to the Islamic rites in Kafinhausa town at about 4:00 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n

On Thursday, Namadi announced the death of his 24-year-old son in a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Hamisu Mohammed Gumel.<\/span><\/p>\n

Reads the statement:\u201cTo Allah belongs that which He has taken, and to Him belongs that which He has given, and everything has an appointed time with Him.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWith a heavy heart and total submission to the will of Almighty Allah, His Excellency Mallam Umar Namadi, Governor of Jigawa State, announces the passing of yet another member of his family; his dear son Abdulwahab Umar Namadi.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHe departed this world this afternoon (Thursday, December 26th, 2024) as a result of a ghastly motor accident along Dutse-Kafin-Hausa Road.<\/span><\/p>\n
