{"id":8307,"date":"2018-03-22T13:50:38","date_gmt":"2018-03-22T13:50:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=8307"},"modified":"2018-03-22T13:50:38","modified_gmt":"2018-03-22T13:50:38","slug":"apc-non-nwc-nec-forum-want-members-suing-over-tenure-elongation-disciplined-reaffirm-extension-for-party-executives","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=8307","title":{"rendered":"APC Non-NWC NEC Forum want members suing over tenure elongation disciplined, reaffirm extension for party executives"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The forum of non-National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) met in Abuja on Wednesday night reaffirming the position of the Party\u2019s National Executive Committee (NEC) to extend the tenure of all Party executives by one year.<br \/>\nMembers of the forum who are also NEC members urged the Party to take disciplinary action against party members who have taken the party to court without exhausting internal party mechanism, in line with the party constitution.<br \/>\nThe resolutions are contained in a communiqu\u00e9 issued by the forum members comprising a founding member of the APC, Alh. Nasiru Danu and seventeen others after the meeting.<br \/>\nThe Communique reads: <em>\u201cThe Non-NWC members forum of the ruling Party-APC at her meeting <a href=\"calendar:T5:today\">today<\/a> the <a href=\"calendar:T2:21st March, 2018\">21st March, 2018<\/a> passed the following resolutions:<br \/>\n1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Re-affirmed its position taken by NEC at the last NEC meeting of <a href=\"calendar:T2:February 27, 2018\">February 27, 2018<\/a> principally on the tenure extension to its Party Officers at all levels.<br \/>\n2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Urges the NWC of the Party to take necessary disciplinary action in consonance with the Party constitution in respect of those who sued the Party without exhausting the Party internal mechanism in respect of their complaints or grievances as contained in our Party constitution.\u201d<\/em><br \/>\nRecall that at the end of the 5th meeting of the APC NEC, it was generally agreed by members to extend the tenure of all elected and appointed officers of the Party in the 36 states, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and the national level.<br \/>\nThe current tenure will end on <a href=\"calendar:T2:June 30, 2018\">June 30, 2018<\/a>.<br \/>\nBy this decision, all affected officers will continue in acting capacity for another period of 12 months after the expiration of their current term.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The forum of non-National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) met in Abuja on Wednesday night reaffirming the position of the Party\u2019s National Executive Committee (NEC) to extend the tenure of all Party executives by one year.
