{"id":6949,"date":"2018-01-05T08:31:59","date_gmt":"2018-01-05T08:31:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=6949"},"modified":"2018-01-05T08:31:59","modified_gmt":"2018-01-05T08:31:59","slug":"please-return-home-bayelsa-tells-ekeremor-community","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=6949","title":{"rendered":"Please return home, Bayelsa tells Ekeremor community"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bayelsa State Government is pleading with residents of Ndoro community of Ekeremor Local Government Area to return home, because there is no longer any  cause for alarm again, after residents fled violent clashes between youth groups.<br \/>\nThe violence is believed to have been politically motivated.<br \/>\nThe government says the situation is now under control.<br \/>\nThe assurance comes after a meeting be<br \/>\namong Governor Seriake Dickson, security chiefs, the military high command in the State, leaders and stakeholders of the community, including the member representing Sagbama\/Ekeremor federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Fred Agbedi.<br \/>\nThe government in a statement said after the meeting it was agreed that the military move into the community to return normalcy there while the government begins a peace process.<br \/>\nThe government called on all those who have left for fear of been caught up in the incident to return as their safety is now guaranteed, assuring that with the presence of the military they can go about their normal businesses.<br \/>\nIt maintained that the situation is now under control following government&#8217;s quick intervention while equally expressing regret over its occurrence especially with the start of a new year which came with so much peace and hope.<br \/>\n&#8220;So we call on all those who have fled the community to return.
