{"id":66397,"date":"2023-09-05T21:10:07","date_gmt":"2023-09-05T21:10:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=66397"},"modified":"2023-09-05T21:10:07","modified_gmt":"2023-09-05T21:10:07","slug":"aedc-confirms-abuja-in-darkness-because-of-nlc-strike","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=66397","title":{"rendered":"AEDC confirms Abuja in darkness because of NLC strike"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 19px;\">The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC\u2019) has attributed the power outage being experienced in its franchise areas to the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) two-day warning strike.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 19px;\">The management of AEDC made this known in a statement in Abuja on Tuesday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 19px;\">\u201dWe are aware of the general power outage being experienced across our franchise,\u00a0 this is due to enforcement\u00a0 of the two-day warning strike embarked upon by the labour union.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 19px;\">\u201dWe apologise for any inconvenience you may be experiencing as a result of this, as we continue our engagement with key stakeholders toward minimising the impact of the strike on our customers, \u201dit said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 19px;\">AEDC Announces Power Outage In Abuja<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 19px;\">\u00a0AEDC urges their customers to take necessary precautions to manage the outage effectively.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 19px;\">The company advised its customer to unplug sensitive electronic devices and appliances from power sources pending the restoration of power.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 19px;\">\u201dWe will continue to provide updates on developments regarding the impact of the strike action on our operations through our official social media handles.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 19px;\">\u201dThank you for your understanding and continued support during this challenging time.
