Days after a distraught mother called for help from Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, over her son’s missing small intestine, the government overment has taken over his medical care and offered to pay his bills.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mrs. Deborah Abiodun had made a a now viral video of her son’s travails between two surgeons and how it was later discovered in the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) that his intestine had been compromised and gone missing. <\/span><\/p>\n

Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos visited Adebola Akin-Bright, a 13-year-old boy,\u00a0 and his mother, Mrs Deborah Abiodun, at the Pediatric Ward of LASUTH.<\/span><\/p>\n

NAN reports that Abiodun, had in a \u201cSave Our Souls\u201d (SoS) via social media appealed to the Governor to probe the mysterious disappearance of her son\u2019s intestine.<\/span><\/p>\n

She claimed the incident occurred while her son was receiving treatment at LASUTH.<\/span><\/p>\n

LASUTH management had in swift response to the allegations, affirmed that they did not wilfully remove any organ or structure from Akin-Bright\u2019s body while performing a corrective surgery on him.<\/span><\/p>\n

The victim had been previously operated on at a private hospital in Lagos. He had been undergoing treatment at LASUTH for over a month.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201dHe (Akin-Bright) required extensive optimisation in our facility before a corrective surgery could be carried out. At the surgery, which was carried out by an experienced pediatric surgeon and her team revealed certain strange findings.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201dThere is a video clip of these findings. The mother was informed about these findings but she appeared to be in denial,\u201d LASUTH management said of the missing intestines of the lad, Akin-Bright.<\/span><\/p>\n
