{"id":65225,"date":"2023-07-05T22:57:24","date_gmt":"2023-07-05T22:57:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=65225"},"modified":"2023-07-05T22:57:24","modified_gmt":"2023-07-05T22:57:24","slug":"nema-list-31-towns-in-14-states-to-be-flooded-due-to-heavy-rainfall","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=65225","title":{"rendered":"NEMA list 31 towns in 14 states to be flooded due to heavy rainfall"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) says that 31 communities in 14 states may witness heavy rainfall that may lead to flooding from July 4 \u2013 8 across the country.<\/p>\n<p>A statement signed by Mr Ibrahim Farinloye, Territorial Coordinator, NEMA, Lagos Territorial Office, urged relevant stakeholders within the states concerned to take precautionary measures to forestall loss of lives and property.<\/p>\n<p>He listed the states and communities as<\/p>\n<p>Plateau: Langtang and Shendam;<\/p>\n<p>Kano State: Sumaila, Tudun wada;<\/p>\n<p>Sokoto State: Shagari, Goronyo and Silame;<br \/>\nDelta: Okwe.<br \/>\nKaduna State: Kachia;<br \/>\nAkwa Ibom: Upenekang;<br \/>\nAdamawa: Mubi, Demsa, Song, Mayo-Belwa, Jimeta, and Yola;<br \/>\nKatsina State: Katsina, Jibia, Kaita and Bindawa.<br \/>\nKebbi State: Wara, Yelwa and Gwandu;<br \/>\nZamfara: Shinkafi and Gummi<br \/>\nBorno: Briyel;<br \/>\nJigawa: Gwaram;<br \/>\nKwara: Jebba;<br \/>\nNiger: Mashegu and Kontagora are also included.<\/p>\n<p>Farinloye thanked the Flood Early Warning System (FEWS) Central Hub of the Federal Ministry of Environment Abuja for sharing the information.<\/p>\n<p>Source: <strong>NAN<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) says that 31 communities in 14 states may witness heavy rainfall that may lead to flooding from July 4 \u2013 8 across the country.
