It was never hidden.

Many Christians and others in the country did not take seriously, the veiled and open threats he made, followed by series of traumatic policies, actions and mayhem visited upon the hapless targets of his brigandage – the very citizens of Kaduna State, especially of Southern Kaduna stock, whom he had sworn by mandate of governance, to protect, serve & uplift.

Yes, many were too caught up with personal concerns, agenda, comfort and convenience, or simply became too reluctant or cowardly to face up to the Fulani-Islamic Jihadist Agenda. Or the brigandage of a heartless, corrupt political class, devoid of conscience and honor, drawn from almost every people group.

So now that he has said so, brazenly with utter impunity, do Christians or the rest of Nigeria have a plan, that could power an equal or superior response toneutralise his arrogant boasts? The Fulani Hegemonists/ Islamic Jihadists have consistently showed a united front, clear agenda and resolute determination, to pursue their cause. The rest of Nigerians have seemingly remained just reactionaries, with no clear or defined agenda or plans.

We keep declaring prayers, without taking, alongside, meaningful and significant responsibility and measures, to counter the looters, killers and destroyers, then forge a better life for ourselves and future, corporately. The noose has kept tightening, while we slept in denial or delusions.
But we did better recently, in the past year, than previous years, especially as concerns the election exercise itself.

The follow-through, however, remains to be completed in the courts. Regardless of what it may seem, or what the cabals of power want to project as unchangeable, we must remain relentless, to seize this moment, in our country’s history.

There is a price for the PRIZE.

Question is, how far are we willing to go to reclaim what has been stolen, for over 62 years, topauperise, enslave, oppress and repress the citizens?

Those who have seized power for all these years, are not invincible. Things are not too late, even as we speak. Until we say to ourselves, it is over….

The ball is in our court. Heaven is watching us too, to see if we would step up, step forward, *dare, take charge* and seize our future, like Joshua and Caleb did. Or Modecai and Esther, Nehemiah and Ezra, David or Jonathan and his armor bearer. Yes, they prayed; but they also took action.

Or we can keep whining or complaining for God to come and do what we should be doing. We just have to decide when the mess is enough, redefine the future we want, then go for and take it, with everything at our disposal spiritual, political, legal, economic & physical. It won’t just be given magnanimously on a platter.

It must be taken, boldly and with commitment determination.

Pursue. Overtake. Recover all

The time us NOW.

Polycarp Gbaja

▪︎ Gbaja, a commentator on public affairs and reverend gentleman from Southern Kaduna lives in Abuja.

By Polycarp Gbaja What El Rufai just declared and announced arrogantly and recklessly, of a Muslim Agenda, was always obvious, in the past eight years of his administration of Kaduna State.
