Governor Nyesom Wike has expressed disappointment over the endorsement of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar\u00a0 by former Speaker of the House Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara.<\/p>\n

On Monday at the flag-off of Indorama-Agbonchia-Ogale-Ebubu East\/West link road, Wike said Dogara had claimed that he wanted the presidency to be zoned to the south, but had now turned around to support a northerner.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat I don\u2019t like in life is people that don\u2019t have character. I can\u2019t stand it. At the appropriate time, I would challenge them to a debate.<\/p>\n

\u201cAsk Dogara: \u2018what made you leave PDP?\u2019 Dogara was to see me. Unknown to me, he gave me an excuse and I was watching Dogara on TV being received by President Muhammadu Buhari that he has gone to APC.<\/p>\n

\u201cI said \u2018Okay, no problem\u2019. The same Dogara said the presidency should be zoned to southern Nigeria for there to be peace. Now, I hear about the same Dogara…. Is that how you do things? Can\u2019t you say something and stand by it?\u201d<\/p>\n

Dogara to Wike: You are suffering from amnesia, and shallow minded<\/p>\n

But Dogara has lashed back accusing the Rivers governor of suffering from amnesia.<\/p>\n

In a series of tweet via his verified Twitter account, @Yakubdogara,\u00a0 the former speaker reminded Wike of their discussions and agreement they had which he said he won’t reveal to the public because he is not a betrayer.<\/p>\n

He berated Wike for being self-centered and shallow-minded by insisting only his positions should be respected and followed.<\/p>\n

“To my brother, Governor Nyesom Wike; if there is anything you are suffering from, I never thought amnesia would be one of them. Why would you think no one, except you, is entitled to a certain set of principles he\/she cannot compromise? It\u2019s such a pity if you cannot remember what our discussion and agreement was all about. Why should only your own position be respected and followed?<\/p>\n

“I\u00a0 would never betray a friend and a brother that is why I won\u2019t respond to your tirade on live TV.\u00a0 The details of our conversation is sealed up with me but if you feel it\u2019s okay to throw it to the public kindly give me a written consent to divulge it so that the public can judge who is saying the truth. Thank God there was a witness.”<\/p>\n
