TIME TO BUILD A NEW WORLD…\u00a0

\nWith utmost humility, I\u00a0stand before you to accept the historic mandate you have bestowed on me today!
\nUmu\u00a0nnem, the victory we savour today belongs neither to Willie\u00a0Obiano\u00a0nor\u00a0to our great party,\u00a0APGA.\u00a0No!\u00a0This sweet victory belongs to\u00a0Ndi\u00a0Anambra!
\nIt belongs to the wheel barrow pushers and the Okada riders who have clearly seen in our recent political experience, a glimmer of light in the horizon.
\nIt belongs to the farmers in\u00a0Ayamelum,\u00a0Onono,\u00a0Ogbaru,\u00a0Omasi,\u00a0Omor\u00a0and\u00a0Ufuma\u00a0who have now realized that Agriculture is the future of Nigeria.\u00a0
\nIt belongs to the teachers and civil servants who\u00a0have seen that\u00a0a motivated workforce is the greatest asset of any government and have\u00a0rewarded our faith in them with an overwhelming verdict at the polls.\u00a0
\nIt belongs to the illustrious sons and daughters of\u00a0Anambra\u00a0State who have seen the STAR of this great state rise in the Eastern Skies and have answered our call for\u00a0Aku\u00a0luo\u00a0uno; bringing home their Naira and Dollars to put our dear state on the investment map!
\nThis victory belongs to all of us!\u00a0Umu\u00a0nnem, this victory\u00a0isnot a winner takes it all.\u00a0For in the New\u00a0Anambra\u00a0of my dream, everyone is a winner.\u00a0Everyone!
\nSo, I reach out a hand of brotherhood to my fellow contestants\u2026Oseloka, Tony,\u00a0Osita, Godwin and others whose names I cannot easily recall here. And\u00a0I say to you;my brothers, we have all fought a good fight.\u00a0But\u00a0Anambra\u00a0State is the WINNER! The interest of\u00a0Anambra State is bigger than the private ambitions of anyone of us..\u00a0Therefore,\u00a0I pray you\u00a0to\u00a0join\u00a0hands with me and\u00a0build a better place for\u00a0Ndi\u00a0Anambra! Our beloved state needs our talent and our time.\u00a0The time to\u00a0build a better place is NOW!
\nIndeed, this victory is a referendum on the solid resolve of\u00a0Ndi\u00a0Anambra\u00a0to rise above average in all we do.\u00a0We have demonstrated that we are indeed capable of taking charge of our lives and making difficult decisions that will brighten the future of our children. I have no doubt in my mind that we shall continue to lay the building blocks for a prosperous tomorrow for all.\u00a0
\nNdi\u00a0Anambra,\u00a0this mandate\u00a0is dear to my heart. I see it\u00a0as a historic\u00a0call to inspire my people to greatness. I see it as a call to deny myself sleep that my people might sleep better.\u00a0Umu\u00a0nnem,\u00a0I will not give myself rest until our beloved state has fully assumed the status of the model state of Nigeria.\u00a0This is my promise to you all.
\nFellow compatriots,\u00a0this victory did not come by chance. It is the final product of the combined efforts of brilliant men and women who sacrificed their personal comfort to ensure that\u00a0Anambra\u2019s\u00a0steady march to progress is not derailed.
\nMy first and deepest gratitude goes to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President\u00a0MuhammaduBuhari\u00a0for proving to\u00a0Ndi\u00a0Anambra\u00a0that under his watch, democracy will sink deeper roots in the Nigerian soil. Mr President promised us a free and fair election. Today, we can all see that he has kept his promise. Thank you so much Mr President!
\nI must also thank\u00a0the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for conducting what has been widely adjudged a transparent election in\u00a0Anambra\u00a0State. With this election, INEC has shown that it has fully braced up for the 2019 elections. Thank you so much.
\nI will also not forget the vigilance of the Nigerian Police, the Nigerian Army and other law enforcement agencies whose alertness ensured that the expressed will of the people was not thwarted.\u00a0Indeed, you have done an incredible job!
\nTo the indefatigable DG of my re-election campaign\u00a0organization, Chief Victor\u00a0Umeh,\u00a0Ibobo\u00a0Aguleri,\u00a0Ohamadike! You and the entire Campaign Team have written your names in gold. My immense gratitude goes to every member of APGA, from the Ward Chairman to the members\u00a0of the National Executive Council; you have made us proud!\u00a0Chukwu\u00a0gozie\u00a0unu\u00a0nine.
\nAnd to all the members of the\u00a0Anambra\u00a0State Traditional Rulers Council, all the PGs and members of the various town unions across\u00a0Anambra\u00a0State,\u00a0all the Bishops, Reverend Fathers and Pastors,\u00a0the members of the organized Labour,\u00a0the youths of\u00a0Anambra\u00a0State, the traders, the farmers, the ordinary men and women who look up to government for\u00a0a better day, I assure you that my team and I shall never fail you.\u00a0
\nIndeed,\u00a0Ndi\u00a0Anambra, on behalf of my capable Deputy, Dr\u00a0Nkem\u00a0Okeke, I thank you all for renewing this mandate and I urge you to prepare for the\u00a0speedy\u00a0transformation of\u00a0Anambra\u00a0State into a prosperous sub-national entity in the next four years.
\nUmu\u00a0nnem, we have stepped into our finest hour. We have finally hit the proverbial bend in the river.\u00a0Our journey into greatness is now assured.\u00a0We are\u00a0ready and willing to work with anyone who has something to share that will make\u00a0Anambra\u00a0State great.\u00a0
\nWe are open to new ideas, new visions of society and a New Hope!
