The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday kick-started the gubernatorial and State Houses of Assembly primaries, just as Everyday.ng has been able to compute the emergence of 18 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidates<\/p>\n
A former chairman of Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, has won the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship primary ticket of the State.<\/p>\n
Caleb polled 252 votes to defeat 13 other aspirants.<\/p>\n
Retired Maj.- Gen. Aminu Bande,\u00a0 emerged as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for Kebbi State in the 2023 general elections.<\/p>\n
Bande scored 471 out of the 691 votes cast to win the primaries.<\/p>\n
Bande, until his retirement, was the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 8 Division, Sokoto<\/p>\n
Alhaji Dauda Lawal won in Zamfara polling 431 votes to win the ticket.<\/p>\n
Dr Ibrahim Shehu scored five votes to emerge second while Alhaji Wadatau Madawaki placed third with three votes.<\/p>\n
Alhaji Mohammed Jajari emerged governorship candidate in Borno State.<\/p>\n
Jajari polled 487 votes to defeat Mohammed Imam who polled 362 in the primary election held on Wednesday in Borno state.<\/p>\n
The Lead Visioner, Lagos4Lagos Movement, Dr Olajide Adediran (Jandor) on Wednesday clinched the PDP ticket.<\/p>\n
In Ogun, two factions of the opposition party held parallel governorship primaries in Abeokuta on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
The faction which had the state party executives on ground held its primaries at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) where Ladi Adebutu emerged as the candidate.<\/p>\n
Alhaji Muhammad Abacha, son of former military leader, Sani Abacha is the governorship candidate, polling 736 votes to defeat his closest rival, Jafar Sani-Bello, who scored 710 votes in the primary election on Wednesday in Kano state.<\/p>\n
The Accountant General of Rivers State, Siminialayi Fubara, polled 721 votes to beat other contestants.<\/p>\n
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had declared\u00a0Fubara Siminayi, and 58 others wanted for N435 billion fraud, a day before the primary.<\/p>\n

Mr Ibrahim Kashim, former Secretary to the State Government, emerged as the party\u2019s governorship flag bearer in Bauchi.<\/p>\n
Ibrahim Kashim was the only aspirant of the party in the state.<\/p>\n
A former Chief of Staff to Ex Gov Chimaroke Nnamani of Enugu State, Mr Peter Mbah, polled 790 votes to beat nine aspirants.<\/p>\n
Expectedly, Gov. Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and his Adamawa counterpart, Ahmadu Fintiri emerged as candidates in their states.<\/p>\n
Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Chief Sheriff Oborevwori won the\u00a0 ticket in Delta State.<\/p>\n
Oborevwori, believed to be the preferred candidate of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, won the ticket.<\/p>\n
Oborevwori polled 590 votes while David Edevbie scored 113 votes to come second, Senator James Manager polled 83 votes, Olorogun Fred Majemite polled 6 votes, Peter Mrakpor polled 9 votes, Kingsley Otuaro polled 9 votes, Omizu Odebala polled 4 votes and Kenneth Gbagi polled 1 vote.<\/p>\n
A former member of the\u00a0 House of Representatives, Mr David Ombugadu, clinched the\u00a0 ticket in Nasarawa State.<\/p>\n
In Gombe, Alhaji Jibrin Barde polled 160 votes to beat five other aspirants.<\/p>\n
In Jigawa, Alhaji Mustafa Lamido, the son of former Gov. Sule Lamido of Jigawa, dusted other aspirant with 829 out of the 832 votes cast.<\/p>\n
The Speaker of Benue House of Assembly, Mr Titus Uba, emerged with 731 out of the 851 votes beating others, including the deputy governor, Benson Abounu, who scored 81 votes.<\/p>\n
