Some even speak of an &#8220;existential threat&#8221; to our faith and the Church. How should we respond?<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><b><i>OUR SWORDS or HIS CUP<\/i><\/b><br \/>\n<i>The early Disciples were at that point\u00a0 in the Kindron Garden when enemies came for their Master. <\/i><b><i>Peter&#8217;s natural response was to fight and defend His master and the faith.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><i>The master had a different view of the situation. <\/i><b><i>This was his cup to drink, an opportunity to fulfil His mission<\/i><\/b><i>, and not even Peter would deny him that. He rather rebuked Peter, not the enemies.<\/i><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><i>&#8220;&#8230;Jesus said to Peter, \u201cPut your sword back into its sheath. Shall I not drink from the cup of suffering the Father has given me? &#8230; All who take the sword will die by the sword.&#8221;<\/i>_<br \/>\n(<i style=\"font-weight: bold;\">John 18:11; Matthew 26:52)<\/i><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">I<i>n these trying times for our faith and the Church, <\/i><b><i>would you rather bear your sword or His cup?<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><i>\u00a9 <strong>Buti Sam KPUTU<\/strong><\/i><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We live in very challenging times in the Church, and especially for frontline believers committed to bearing witness for Jesus.
