Any pretences about the fate of the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Caretaker\/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, Governor Mai Mala Buni, have been shattered by Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir el Rufai, who says the man has been fired by President Muhammadu Buhari and can never return as the party head.<\/p>\n

Same goes for the National Secretary, Senator John James Akpanudoedehe, who lately says he is waiting to hear of his sack from President Buhari.<\/p>\n

The Kaduna Governor who spoke on Wednesday night on Channels Television Politics Today said that neither the ousted National Chairman nor the Secretary would return as national officials of the party.<\/p>\n

El-Rufai alleged that the former National Chairman and his team got a court order which they hid to stop the APC National Convention.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cBuni is gone, the Secretary is gone. Gov. Bello is in charge and he has the backing of President Muhammadu Buhari and 19 governors.<\/p>\n

\u201c Buni can only return as Governor of Yobe but never as chairman of our Party.<\/p>\n

\u201cPresident Buhari ordered his removal and this has been implemented.<\/p>\n

\u201cGovernor Bello has taken over and things are moving according to plan.<\/p>\n

\u201cParty will be restored, convention will take place as scheduled. 19 governors and their deputies are solidly behind this move.<\/p>\n
