In a personally signed statement this afternoon, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, mourns the sudden death of Mr. Ojima Omale, a young enterprising shoe designer based in Abuja.<\/p>\n
Here below is the Vice President’s statement:<\/p>\n
“I am deeply saddened by the news of the sudden death of Mr. Ojima Omale, aka OJBEST, 28, my young enterprising shoemaker and friend.<\/strong><\/p>\n Omale was CEO of O.J Best Footwears. He was talented, creative and dedicated to his craft. I never ceased to be impressed by his exertions for perfection in his products.<\/strong><\/p>\n I and many members of my team, for whom he also made shoes, will miss him, his services and unfailing good humour.<\/strong><\/p>\n Our thoughts are with his family as we pray that God will comfort them. May his memory remain blessed.<\/strong><\/p>\n Signed:<\/strong> Two years ago, Ojima had tweeted at Osinbajo his desire to make shoes for him. Surprisingly the Vice President reached out to him, sending his aides, and later meeting the young enterpreneur.<\/p>\n \u201cI really cannot contain my joy in expressing this\u2026 this is a dream I never thought would happen,\u201d he had written on Twitter.<\/p>\n \u201cWords have failed me and I may not use the appropriate words but I really want to thank his Excellency @ProfOsinbajo for his patronage and support for ojbest footwear.<\/p>\n \u201cI was in the office of the Vice President to take measurements of his feet and later returned to make delivery of the order. Never have I seen a man as humble, simple and ready to support like His Excellency.
