{"id":4872,"date":"2017-09-06T09:01:37","date_gmt":"2017-09-06T09:01:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=4872"},"modified":"2017-09-06T09:01:37","modified_gmt":"2017-09-06T09:01:37","slug":"i-have-seen-my-home-in-heaven-doubt-if-ill-live-for-10-years-says-adeboye","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=4872","title":{"rendered":"I have seen my home in heaven; doubt if I&#8217;ll live for 10 years, says Adeboye"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n<strong>Source: www.theeagleonline.com<\/strong><br \/>\nBy <strong>Dan Atori<\/strong>.<br \/>\nBarely 24 hours after he warned that he would kill anyone who dares touch his wife, Pastor Foluke Adeboye, the\u200e General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, shocked a large congregation in Minna, Niger State on Monday when he said he does not want to live up to 120 years.<br \/>\nAdeboye also said he does not think he would preside over the 80th birthday service of a celebrant, Pastor Yerima El-Samaila of the Faith Foundation Church, who turned 70 on Monday.<br \/>\nHe said, he has seen his room in heaven and prepared to leave anytime.<br \/>\nPastor Adeboye was born on March 2, 1942, making him 75 years now.<br \/>\nAdeboye said at the birthday celebration: \u201cIt is not how long you live, but how well you spend your life.<br \/>\n\u201cI don\u2019t want to be 120 years old.<br \/>\n\u201cLongevity is good but there is a limit.\u201d<br \/>\nAdeboye, at the birthday service held at the Justice Idris Legbo Kutigi International Conference Centre, added: \u201cPeople don\u2019t want to die because they don\u2019t know where they are going.<br \/>\n\u201cI know where I am going.<br \/>\n\u201cI have seen heaven.<br \/>\n\u201cI have seen my house in heaven.<br \/>\n\u201cI know what is waiting for me there.<br \/>\n\u201cHeaven is beautiful and I can\u2019t wait to go<br \/>\n\u201cI want to finish what I have to do here and finish it well.<br \/>\n\u201cAny of us can go at any moment.<br \/>\n\u201cWe have to get ready for home.\u201d<br \/>\nAdeboye therefore challenged Christians to be \u201ccommitted to God more than ever before\u201d, adding: \u201cMany Christians are getting distracted from God.\u201d<br \/>\nHe advised other clerics to \u201cstop playing church and become committed to the almighty God and do your utmost best so that when you are leaving, you can say you have fulfilled your purpose\u201d.<br \/>\nPastor Adeboye thanked God for the life of the celebrant, his family and his ministry \u201cand commitment to God\u201d.<br \/>\nHe said: \u201cIt takes a man like you to bring me to Minna at a time like this and I rejoice that I could come.\u201d<br \/>\nPastor Adeboye and his wife, who both arrived the Minna Airport terminal in a private aircraft: N730EA, immediately prayed for those that received him and proceeded to the venue.<br \/>\nHe later joined Pastor El-Samaila in the cutting of the 70th birthday cake, which he (Adeboye) presented to the celebrant.<br \/>\nThe Niger State Governor, represented by the Commissioner for Information, Jonathan Tsado Vatsa; former Minister of Information, Prof. Jerry Gana; and clergymen from different denominations attended the ceremony.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Source: www.theeagleonline.com By Dan Atori.
