Rapturous celebrations are on in parts of Kenya following a declaration by the country’s Supreme Court that the presidential election are “invalid, null, and void.”
\nThe court has scalled for fresh elections within the next 60 days, but there are fears that the opposition party leader, Raila Odinga, may ask for the replacement of the Independent Electoral and Boundary Commission which conducted the flawed election.
\nThe judgement is touted to be a first in Africa.
\nThe Supreme Court blamed irregularities on the part of the electoral commission for the nullification.
\nUHURU Kenyatta won a second and final term in the disputed election.
