{"id":37643,"date":"2021-12-23T20:16:48","date_gmt":"2021-12-23T19:16:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=37643"},"modified":"2021-12-23T20:16:48","modified_gmt":"2021-12-23T19:16:48","slug":"titan-trust-bank-acquires-union-bank-with-purchase-of-89-3-shares","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=37643","title":{"rendered":"Titan Trust Bank Acquires Union Bank With Purchase of 89.3% Shares"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Union Bank of Nigeria (UBN) Plc on Thursday announced a proposed divestment of majority shareholding interest in the bank to Titan Trust Bank Ltd.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The UBN Company Secretary, Somuyiwa Sonubi, said this a statement posted on the Nigerian Exchange Ltd (NGX) website tilted: \u201cProposed Divestment of Majority Shareholding Interest in Union Bank of Nigeria Plc.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The statement said the board of UBN had received a notification from Union Global Partners Ltd. (UGPL), the holder of a majority shareholding in Union Bank of the execution of a Share Sale and Purchase Agreement.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It said the agreement was between UGPL, certain other existing shareholders of Union Bank (as sellers) and Titan Trust Bank Ltd.
