Following Sahara Reporters Publisher, Omoyele Sowore’s announcement of the death of his younger brother, Olajide, in the hands of men he described as herdsmen, the Police has said he was killed by kidnappers.<\/p>\n\n\n
Police spokesman in Edo State, Kontongs Bello, told a newspaper, The Punch, \u201cThis is to confirm to you that suspected kidnappers at about 0645hrs along the Lagos-Benin Expressway by Isuwa kidnapped five unidentified persons and in the process shot to death one Sowore Felix Olajide male a Pharmacy student of Igbinedion University Okada.<\/p>\n\n\n
\u201cHis remains have been deposited at IUTH Mortuary Okada while effort is ongoing to rescue the five kidnap victims. Search and rescue operation is ongoing.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n
His brother, Sowore added, was killed in the early hours of Saturday on his way from Igbinedion University where he was studying Pharmacy.<\/p>\n\n\n
In a tribute on his Facebook page, Sowore wrote: \u201cMy immediate younger brother, Olajide Sowore was today shot and killed near Okada in Edo state by reportedly herdsmen \/kidnappers on his way from Igbinedion University in Edo sate where he is studying Pharmacy.<\/p>\n\n\n
