A time comes when such living is detrimental to ourselves and our communities.<br \/><br \/>In the days of Jeremiah, God&#8217;s people were under immense hardship as a result of their rebellion and idolatory. Baruch, his scribe, was so engrossed with his own challenges, forgetting the rest of the people. The Lord cautioned him, &#8220;Do you seek great things for yourself? Do not seek them&#8221; (Jer. 45:5)<br \/><br \/>In times like these, living selfishly is not Christ-like. Mordecai warned Esther not think that because she was in the king\u2019s house she will escape the Jew&#8217;s fate&#8221; (Esther 4:13)<br \/><br \/>As believers, we are not to be selfish, but consider the needs of others. That is the essence of true Christian Fellowship (Acts 2:44; Phi.2:4)<br \/><br \/>At the center of sIn is &#8220;I&#8221;.
