The gunmen numbering three hopped into the car and drove off.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video controls src=\"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/VID-20210531-WA0001.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in Enugu, ASP Daniel Ndukwe, the Commissioner, of Police, Mohammed Ndatsu Aliyu, has ordered the launch of a full-scale manhunt for the yet-to-be identifed assailants.<br \/><br \/>The assailants, according to Police preliminary statement, allegedly trailed and shot dead an unidentified man driving in a Mercedes Benz Jeep, \u201cwhich they carted away, along Ebeano Tunnel, Enugu, today being 30\/05\/2021 at (about) 1700hrs.<br \/><br \/>\u201cThe victim was rushed to the hospital, where he was confirmed dead by doctors on duty and deposited in the mortuary for autopsy.\u201d<br \/><br \/>The Commissioner assured the people of the state that no stone would be left unturned in fishing out perpetrators of the heinous crime.<br \/><br \/>He also called on residents to remain law-abiding, vigilant and assist the Police with useful information that will lead to the arrest and prosecution of the assailants.<br \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In another execution-style killing, an Ex-Enugu High Court Judge, Justice Stanley Nnaji, was in broad daylight gunned down on the streets of Enugu, while a resident caught the dastardly act on his phone.
