El-Rufai Should\u00a0Suspend His Presidential Ambition And Make Kaduna Work&#8221;-Senator Shehu Sani"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Senator Shehu Sani, has asked Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir\u00a0el-Rufai, to shelve his presidential ambition.<br \/>\nSani in a statement on Wednesday said, \u201cHe (El-Rufai) thinks President\u00a0Muhammadu Buhari failed but he never invited PMB to even commission a\u00a0completed toilet in his state. Under El-Rufai, Kaduna has become a hub\u00a0of kidnappers and a sanctuary for herdsmen.<br \/>\n\u201cThe very governor who once condemned the National Assembly for lack\u00a0of transparency has proven to be worse. El-Rufai wants to be seen as\u00a0an apostle of Buhari\u2019s change but he is actually the Judas of change.<br \/>\n\u201cIt is hypocritical to promise Nigerians change and end up only\u2018putting change in our pockets.\u2019 There\u2019s nothing progressive about\u00a0many people who claim to be Buharists; they are reactionaries and\u00a0career opportunists who can fit into any government in power.<br \/>\n&#8221;I call on El-Rufai to suspend his presidential or vice presidential\u00a0ambitions and concentrate on proper governance of the state.\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cJournalists in Kaduna State are under siege; blackmailed, arrested,\u00a0pocketed or threatened with arrest and, as such, could not have\u00a0written such a story.<br \/>\nEl-Rufai jails journalists\u00a0like Pinochet or\u00a0Stalin. El-Rufai is a man with a mouth for criticism but without a\u00a0stomach for criticism. In his two years in office, he has jailed not\u00a0less than seven journalists in Kaduna, of which many are in court.<br \/>\n\u201cKaduna State is run like a personal \u2018family and friends estate\u2019\u00a0without any meaningful physical achievement other than sponsored media\u00a0propaganda.<br \/>\nEl-Rufai has no money to pay traditional rulers he\u00a0recently sacked but has money to dispense as contracts to family,\u00a0friends and political cronies.<br \/>\n\u201cEl-Rufai has enough money to pay herdsmen but no money to pay\u00a0district heads.
