{"id":32211,"date":"2021-03-24T21:06:19","date_gmt":"2021-03-24T20:06:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=32211"},"modified":"2021-03-24T21:06:19","modified_gmt":"2021-03-24T20:06:19","slug":"alleged-rift-between-president-buhari-and-tinubu-handiwork-of-cynics-says-presidency","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=32211","title":{"rendered":"Alleged rift between President Buhari and Tinubu: handiwork of cynics, says Presidency"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Release<\/strong><br \/><br \/>By <strong>Garba Shehu<\/strong>, Senior Special Assistant to the President, (Media &amp; Publicity)<br \/><br \/>The Presidency wishes to make it clear that there is no rift between\u00a0President Muhammadu Buhari and his strong ally, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.<br \/>The President and the Asiwaju have a very strong commitment to the All Progressives Congress, APC towards bringing CHANGE and this is a commitment they have made to the Nigerian people.<br \/><br \/>Recent reports of a rift between the two leaders of our party are false; the handiwork of some media mischief\u00a0makers.<br \/><br \/>It is quite unfortunate that certain sections of the media feed on birthing\u00a0controversies, providing a nexus\u00a0for naysayers\u00a0who\u00a0work\u00a0behind the scenes planting such stories which are absolutely false.<br \/><br \/>This administration is aware of pessimists and cynics who\u00a0willfully\u00a0spread\u00a0misinformation to create doubts in the minds of the people about the relationship between its leaders and whether the party will remain intact or not. There is no doubt that the President and the party are focused on development, peace and security, restructuring of the economy and war against corruption in the country and will not be diverted to anything else. \u00a0This desperate attempt to fool the people will not succeed.<br \/><br \/>To President Buhari, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu remains one of the most respected political leaders in the country who has stuck to his principles in the face of all adversities.\u00a0He was instrumental to the\u00a0formation, growth and development of the APC into a formidable political party and the political alliance is waxing even stronger.<br \/><br \/>If the Asiwaju is not a frequent face in the Aso Rock Villa, it is on account of the fact that he is not a cabinet\u00a0member of this government.
