{"id":27810,"date":"2020-08-02T16:06:05","date_gmt":"2020-08-02T15:06:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=27810"},"modified":"2020-08-02T16:06:05","modified_gmt":"2020-08-02T15:06:05","slug":"mamman-daura-spoke-his-mind-says-presidency","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=27810","title":{"rendered":"Mamman Daura spoke his mind, says Presidency"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Release<\/strong><br \/>\nBy <strong>Garba Shehu<\/strong>, Senior Special Assistant to the President (Media &amp; Publicity)<br \/>\n<strong>MALAM MAMMAN\u2019S VIEWS ARE HIS OWN, AND HE HAS SAID SO \u2013 PRESIDENCY<\/strong><br \/>\nWe have received numerous requests for comments on the interview granted by Malam Mamman Daura, President Muhammadu Buhari\u2019s nephew to the\u00a0BBC Hausa Service.<br \/>\nIt is important that we state from the onset that as mentioned by the interviewee, the views expressed were personal to him and did not, in any way, reflect that of either the President or his administration.<br \/>\nAt age 80, and having served as editor and managing director of one of this country\u2019s most influential newspapers, the\u00a0New Nigerian, certainly, Malam Mamman qualifies as an elder statesman with a national duty to hold perspectives and disseminate them as guaranteed under our constitution and\u00a0 laws of the land.
