{"id":27175,"date":"2020-07-09T20:16:32","date_gmt":"2020-07-09T19:16:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=27175"},"modified":"2020-07-09T20:16:32","modified_gmt":"2020-07-09T19:16:32","slug":"taraba-woman-who-sliced-off-husbands-manhood-delivers-baby-boy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=27175","title":{"rendered":"Taraba woman who sliced off husband\u2019s manhood delivers baby boy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Taraba\u00a0woman, who chopped her husband\u2019s manhood, delivered a baby boy in Jalingo on Thursday.<br \/>\nDaily Trust gathered that Halima Ali was moved to specialists Hospital Jalingo from Taraba police command on Wednesday.<br \/>\nIt was further gathered that both Halima and her baby are healthy and she will soon be arraigned before the court for causing grievous hurt and attempt to commit culpable homicide.<br \/>\nHalima was paraded by the police recently during which she told journalists that she regretted her action of cutting her husband\u2019s manhood.<br \/>\nRecall that 25-year-old Halima allegedly chopped off her husband\u2019s manhood at Tella town in Gassol Local Government Area of Taraba State.<br \/>\nHalima, was said to have carried out the act while the husband, Aliyu Umar, was sleeping.<br \/>\nA younger brother of the victim, Shagari Umar, said a loud cry by Aliyu attracted the attention of family members who rushed to where the victim was sleeping and found him in a pool of blood.<br \/>\n\u201cWe found his wife, Halima, sitting by the bedside holding the sharp knife with which she cut off the manhood of our brother,\u201d Umar claimed.<br \/>\nHe added that Halima would have been lynched by angry members of the family and neighbours but was spared \u201cbecause she is pregnant and for the intervention of elders who rescued her and called in the police.\u201d<br \/>\nhttps:\/\/everyday.ng\/my-hot-temper-his-cheating-behind-slicing-off-my-husbands-organs-to-go-to-court-for-attempted-homicide\/<br \/>\nAccording to him, Aliyu was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Jalingo, a distance of about 150 kilometres from Tella town.<br \/>\nHe said, on arrival at the hospital, Aliyu was quickly attended to and the bleeding was stopped after hours of surgery.<br \/>\nA surgeon, who attended to Aliyu, Dr Kyantiki Peter Adamu, told Daily Trust in an interview that he was called to the emergency unit of the hospital to see a patient with traumatic amputation of a penile shaft.<br \/>\n\u201cWhat we did was to quickly stop the bleeding and do all the necessary surgery on the damaged part of the manhood because the patient had lost a lot of blood before he was brought to the hospital,\u201d he said.<br \/>\nHe said the patient had 100 percent chance of surviving, but the relations of the patient had signed \u2018left against medical advice form\u2019 and there was nothing the centre could do again on the patient.<br \/>\nShagari Umar, however, told Daily Trust that they removed the patient from the FMC in Jalingo to take him to the one in Gombe.<br \/>\n\u201cWe decided to remove our brother from Federal Medical Centre, Jalingo and take him to Federal Medical Centre, Gombe for intensive care,\u201d Shagari said.<br \/>\n\u25aa\ufe0e <strong>Report by Daily Trust<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Taraba\u00a0woman, who chopped her husband\u2019s manhood, delivered a baby boy in Jalingo on Thursday.
