Jabi Lake Mall shut for two weeks, but&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Patrons of the Jani Lake Mall will have to pay the price of the ineptitude of the management, and, perhaps, government agencies, that turned a blind eye while a concert lasted for hours, smack in the middle of Abuja, even though there was a ban on such events.<br \/>\nThe huge property that houses shopping centres has been sealed for two weeks for allowing its parking lot to be used for a &#8216;drive-in&#8217; concert that turned rowdy and breached Covid-19 protocols.<br \/>\n<div style=\"width: 640px;\" class=\"wp-video\"><video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-26657-1\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"video\/mp4\" src=\"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/VID-20200615-WA0013.mp4?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/VID-20200615-WA0013.mp4\">https:\/\/everyday.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/VID-20200615-WA0013.mp4<\/a><\/video><\/div><br \/>\nAn Abuja Magistrate Court ordered the sealing of the Mall for flouting regulations on Covid-19.<br \/>\nThe FCT Enforcement Task Team immediately enforced the order l<br \/>\nAzeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley flew from Lagos to Abuja with Ex-BBNaija star, Kimoprah, despite the ban on interstate movement and flights.<br \/>\nMagistrate Idayat Akonni, also convicted the Mall managers for violating the FCT COVID 19 guidelines and Quarantine law.<br \/>\nExpectedly, there have reactions from Nigerians who believe Naira Marley pulled his stunt because he got just a mere slap on the wrist from the Lagos State government when he performed at Actress Gummi Akindele&#8217;s birthday party weeks ago.<br \/>\nOthers point to the drama playing out in the Presidential Villa, where a shooting incident has shown that presidential aides and First Family members have breached rules on Interstate travels in the past.<br \/>\nIn the ensuing powerplay, there are allegations that the new Chief of Staff, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari; a Special Assistant to the President, Mr. Tunde Sabiu Yusuf; and daughters of the President made non-residential trips out of Abuja<br \/>\nPerhaps the most pungent of comments came from one Dr Joe Abah. He wrote:<br \/>\n1. Somebody approved the Naira Marley concert<br \/>\n2. Somebody approved the non-essential flight to Abuja<br \/>\n3. Somebody approved a bottle of hard liquor per ticket<br \/>\n4. Somebody didn\u2019t stop the concert when it lost control<br \/>\n6.
