{"id":25406,"date":"2020-03-21T17:27:25","date_gmt":"2020-03-21T16:27:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=25406"},"modified":"2020-03-21T17:27:25","modified_gmt":"2020-03-21T16:27:25","slug":"the-memo-that-shut-nigeria-to-all-international-flights","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=25406","title":{"rendered":"The memo that shut Nigeria to all international flights"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Date 21st March, 2020<br \/>\nALL NIGERIAN OPERATORS AND FOREIGN OPERATORS FLYING INTO NIGERIA<br \/>\nFrom NIGERIAN CIVIL AVIATION AUTHORITY<br \/>\nATTN ACCOUNTABLE MANAGER\/COUNTRY MANAGER<br \/>\nSubject UPDATE ON CLARIFICATION ON FLIGHT RESTRICTION INTO NIGERIA DUE TO COVID-19 PANDEMIC.<br \/>\nFurther to our earlier letter on restriction of international flights into Nigeria, we wish to inform you that effective Monday 23rd March at 2300Z to 23rd April at 2300Z, Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos (DNMM) and Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport Abuja (DNAA) will be closed to all International flights.<br \/>\nEmergency and essential fliqhts are exempted from this restriction.<br \/>\nThis is in addition to the closure of Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano (DNKN), Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu (DNEN) and Port-Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa (DNPO) effective Saturday 21 March at 2300Z.<br \/>\nHenceforth, all airports in Nigeria are closed to all incoming international flights with the exception of emergency and essential flights.<br \/>\nDomestic flights will continue normal operations at all airports.<br \/>\nAll airlines are required to submit passenger manifest to Port Health Authorities prior to arrival of flights into Nigeria.<br \/>\nPlease be guided accordingly.<br \/>\n(Signed)<br \/>\nCaptain <strong>Musa S Nuhu<\/strong><br \/>\nDirector General\/CEO<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Date 21st March, 2020 ALL NIGERIAN OPERATORS AND FOREIGN OPERATORS FLYING INTO NIGERIA From NIGERIAN CIVIL AVIATION AUTHORITY ATTN ACCOUNTABLE MANAGER\/COUNTRY MANAGER Subject UPDATE ON CLARIFICATION ON FLIGHT RESTRICTION INTO NIGERIA DUE TO COVID-19 PANDEMIC.
