{"id":23547,"date":"2019-12-31T16:36:18","date_gmt":"2019-12-31T15:36:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=23547"},"modified":"2019-12-31T16:36:18","modified_gmt":"2019-12-31T15:36:18","slug":"finally-nde-gets-forfeited-building-as-own-office-after-32-years","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=23547","title":{"rendered":"Finally, NDE gets forfeited building as own office after 32 years"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 handed over a forfeited property to the National Directorate of Employment, NDE, for use as office.<br \/>\nAccording to EFCC spokesman, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, the property, located on Plot 1076 Cadastral Zone, Sector B 18, Gudu District, Abuja was recovered in a case between the Federal Government and Emmanuel Enesi Ozigi and two others, namely: Home Vestors Concepts Ltd &amp; Knight Consulting Ltd.<br \/>\nThe EFCC secured the final forfeiture of the property to the Federal Government on February 15, 2018, at the conclusion of forfeiture processes in a Federal High Court, Abuja, presided over by Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu.<br \/>\nThe hand-over formalities were conducted by the Secretary to EFCC, Olanipekun Olukoyede, who conveyed the Commission\u2019s excitement at handing the property over to an agency of the Federal Government, noting that the gesture, like the others that preceded it, testifies to the successes of the anti-corruption fight.<br \/>\nDirector General of NDE, Dr Nasiru Mohammed Ladan in his remarks, commended the Acting Chairman of EFCC, Ibrahim Magu for his relentless efforts in the anti-corruption fight, and expressed happiness that the NDE now has an office it could call its own, having occupied rented offices for 32 years.<br \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_23549\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-23549\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-23549\" src=\"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/DSC_02-300x187.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"187\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-23549\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Signing of the official papers by EFCC handing the forfeited structure to NDE<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 handed over a forfeited property to the National Directorate of Employment, NDE, for use as office.
