{"id":22197,"date":"2019-11-02T10:44:42","date_gmt":"2019-11-02T09:44:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=22197"},"modified":"2019-11-02T10:44:42","modified_gmt":"2019-11-02T09:44:42","slug":"four-multi-story-buildings-collapse-in-lagos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=22197","title":{"rendered":"Four multi-story buildings collapse in Lagos"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By Aisha Cole (NAN)<br \/>\nFour persons escaped death on Thursday as four different two-storey buildings, collapsed at about 4:10p.m at Glover Court, Ikoyi, Lagos on Friday.<br \/>\nThe Director General, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu made the disclosure in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.<br \/>\nAccording to him, it is a total of four different 2-storey buildings, all storey buildings under construction that collapsed.<br \/>\n\u201cLASEMA officials have already activated the Lagos Emergency Response Plan for all first responders to move to the site of the collapsed building.<br \/>\n\u201cIn the ongoing operation at the Glover court construction site with a total of four different 2-storey buildings, all under construction and five people trapped in the collapsed building at the time of collapse.<br \/>\n\u201cThe only construction worker reportedly still trapped under rubbles of the collapsed building is 24-year-old Yomi, as all other workers have been accounted for,\u201d Oke-Osanyintolu said.<br \/>\nA picture of one of the escaped workers at Glover court building collapsed receiving treatment in the Lagos Emergency Response Ambulance<br \/>\nHe urged Lagos residents within the vicinity of the incident to stay calm and allow emergency responders to do their job.<br \/>\nOke-Osanyintolu said that one of the rescued victims from the incident was presently receiving treatment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Aisha Cole (NAN) Four persons escaped death on Thursday as four different two-storey buildings, collapsed at about 4:10p.m at Glover Court, Ikoyi, Lagos on Friday.
