{"id":18444,"date":"2019-06-03T19:07:02","date_gmt":"2019-06-03T19:07:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=18444"},"modified":"2019-06-03T19:07:02","modified_gmt":"2019-06-03T19:07:02","slug":"obasanjo-urges-aisha-buhari-to-use-pillow-talk-with-husband-to-effect-change","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/?p=18444","title":{"rendered":"Obasanjo urges Aisha Buhari to use &#8216;pillow talk&#8217; with husband to effect change"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo has advised wife of President Muhammed Buhari, Aisha on need to engage her husband in \u2018pillow talk\u2019, expressing optimism that such may encourage the President to effectively address many problems confronting the country.<br \/>\nPenpushing\u00a0reports that, Obasanjo gave the advice on Monday when the Editorial Board of Penpushing Media paid him a courtesy visit at his Penthouse private residence at Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, in Abeokuta, the Ogun State Capital.<br \/>\nThe wife of the President, it will be recalled had in recent time spoken about her displeasure on how her husband&#8217;s government was being run, the latest been the challenge on security apparatus to find solution to the consistent banditry in the country.<br \/>\nThe former President who commended Mrs Buhari for\u00a0 speaking out, was of the conviction that if she engaged her husband in \u2018pillow talk\u2019 perhaps that will attract the President&#8217;s attention for him to grasp the true position of the State of the Nation.<br \/>\nPenpushing\u00a0further reports that, Obasanjo, canvassed for more advocacy and sensitization to get the desired change in the country, adding that the media also has to play crucial role in the mission to turn the country around for better.<br \/>\nThe former President emphasised that advocacy would raise awareness, &#8220;and we have to put all things on the table to address these problems. Mind you, we have to be sincere and genuine with ourselves\u2019.<br \/>\n&#8220;It is nice that the President\u2019s wife is talking, I think she did well, and maybe she should also have a pillow talk with the President. I believe every Nigerian family, individual, group is entitled to legitimate livelihood. It is the responsibility of all to make sure we have a dignified life. That should be our aim collectively,&#8221; he said.<br \/>\nThe Chairman, Editorial Board of\u00a0Penpushing Media,Mrs Olufunke Fadugba earlier in her speech\u00a0 said the visit was to intimate the former President with the program of events for the 3rd anniversary lecture of the organization scheduled to hold July 19.<br \/>\nPenpushing\u00a0also reports that, she said that the anniversary lecture with the theme &#8220;Political Evolution and Multi-party Democracy: Education to the Rescue&#8221;, to be delivered by Prof Oluyemisi Obilade, former Vice-Chancellor Tai Solarin University of Education(TASUED) has become imperative in view of the developments in the country.<br \/>\nThe Board Chairman said the role of speaking truth to power by Obasanjo cannot be overemphasized, &#8220;and, with the statements by the First Lady, Mrs Aisha Buhari, these are commendable efforts, but, one wonders what is really happening.
