Head, Media &amp; Publicity<br \/>\nThe Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mr. Ibrahim Magu, was on Tuesday, May 14, honoured with the Exemplary Leadership Award 2019 for Outstanding Leadership In Public Service. Magu was honoured by\u00a0Euro Knowlwdge Group, a prestigious Foreign Investment Network, FIN, at the EFCC\u2019s Headquarters in Abuja.<br \/>\nChairman of Foreign Investment Network, Mrs. Yinka Fayomi, who presented the award to the EFCC\u2019s Chairman, said the award is in recognition of those who have impacted on the nation\u2019s economy and other sectors of life as she said that the Commission is one of such organisations that deserves the award.<br \/>\n\u201cOver a period of time since the Acting Chairman has been acting and working, there has been a tremendous improvement in the fight against corruption. I remember two years ago, when we were involved with events in America and we were supposed to recognise him on what he was doing but he wasn&#8217;t available\u201d, he added.<br \/>\n\u201cWe are very pleased to have this opportunity to recognise him and the team that are working with him. This recognition is for him to do more and we like what you are doing, and it is an opportunity to spur you to do more\u201d.<br \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_17898\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-17898\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-17898\" src=\"https:\/\/everyday.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/IMG-20190514-WA0023-300x204.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"204\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-17898\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Chile Okoroma, Magu, Mrs. Yinka Fayomi and one other at the award event<\/figcaption><\/figure><br \/>\nMagu, in a remark, thanked the delegation and representatives of Foreign Investment Network for the award as he called on Nigerians, irrespective of their profession to join hands with the Commission in its effort to rid the country of corruption. According to him, the fight against corruption is not a one man\u2019s business but a collective responsibility.<br \/>\nThe EFCC Chairman who further explained that \u201cFighting corruption has never been a one man\u2019s business\u201d, added \u201cWe also recognise the contribution of stakeholders because this is not a job that can be done in isolation and it is a work that nobody can do alone\u201d, he said.<br \/>\n&#8220;I am very happy that this award is in recognition of our little effort in the fight against corruption&#8221;.<br \/>\nPresent at the award ceremony were the Director, Public Affairs,\u00a0 Osita Nwajah; Director, Legal and Prosecution, Chile Okoroma; Director of Operations, Umar Mohammed; Deputy Director Audit, Ahmed Pate; Assistant Director Organisational Support, NT Ibrahim and Head of Human Resource, Femi Peter Gbarufu among others.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By\u00a0Tony Orilade, Ag.
