Following the release of the acting Director, Lagos State Fire Service, Rasaki Musibau, and six other people by their abductors, the Police have arrested two members of the gang that allegedly kidnapped them.
\nThe Fire Service officer and the six others were abducted on Saturday at about 8pm, but Police teams led by the Officer in Charge of Anti Kidnapping Unit, SP Bulus R Musa, arrested the alleged abductors on Tuesday night.
\nThe victims were abducted in the Ejirin area of Ikosi-Ejirin Local Council Development Area of the state on Saturday.
\nIn a statement issued by the Lagos Police Public Relations Officer,\u00a0DSP Bala Elkana, the director and the others were released unhurt at about 11.45pm on Tuesday night.
\nHe said, \u201d On 09\/04\/2019 at about 11.45pm, the Director of Lagos State Fire Service, Rasaki Musibau and 6 others kidnapped on 06\/04\/19 at about 8.00pm, at Ketu-Ereyun, Ikorodu, were released unhurt by their abductors. The victims have since reunited with their families.
\n\u201cThe Command\u2019s Tactical teams are still in the creeks and forests combating the hoodlums.\u201d
\nIn another statement released by Elkana, the arrested suspects namely: Blessing Bayo \u2018m\u2019 29 years and Smart Alfred \u2018m\u2019 32 years all of Arogbo, Ondo State were arrested on Wednesday at about 05:30am at Ibafun along Ikorodu-Ijebu Ode Express Way, a boundary community with Ogun State.
\nAccording to the Police, the two suspects confessed to the crime, while two single barrel guns were recovered from them.
