For defiling and infecting 15 teenage boys with the dreaded HIV, a so-called reverend gentleman is to face the full brunt of the law, the Lagos State police command has said.
\nReverend Ezuma Chizemdere, who runs a ministry in Ejigbo,\u00a0according to a statement on Friday by the command\u2019s spokesman, DSP Bala Elkana, went into hiding for about three months before his arrest on March 21.
\nAs the Police story goes, on January 21, a case of defilement of a minor (name withheld) by penetration was reported at Ejigbo Police Station.
\nHe disclosed that Reverend was part of the syndicate defiling teenagers in the community.
\n\u201cHe has been at large for about three months. On 21st March 2019, at about 1 am, police laid siege of the Reverend\u2019s residence based on the strength of information gathered that he often sneaks into the house through the back entrance.
\n\u201cHaving discovered that police had cordoned his house, the Reverend hid in the ceiling for two hours. He was however arrested.
\n\u201cInvestigation has it that Rev. Ezuma brought in about 15 boys into his apartment where he forcefully penetrated them all through the anus.
\n\u201cSome members of the neighbourhood revealed that the reverend usually washes six bedsheets daily whenever he brings in little children, suspected to be his sex partners.
\n\u201cOn further interrogation, the \u201cReverend\u201d revealed that he was HIV positive and has been receiving treatment for over three years,\u201d Elkana says.
\nWhat was perhaps most wicked about Ezuma’s action was The claim by The Police that the suspect knew he was\u00a0HIV\u00a0positive but was deliberately infecting the innocent teenagers.
